The playoffs are almost there and it's always a fun and exciting time for Hockey fans. Traditions are always followed. One of the biggest traditions in hockey is the playoff beard. The Stanley Cup playoff beard traces its origins to the early 1980’s when the New York Islanders began the tradition on their way to winning the Stanley Cup four years in a row. Since then, the playoff beard has become an annual tradition for both players and fans.
With that being said, the Detroit Red Wings have announced their 2009 Stanley Cup playoff run slogan. The slogan for this year is "Here we grow again." The breads are back and let's enjoy this playoff run!!
