Training Camp and other things

The Detroit Red Wings training camp began on Sunday. It's about time! It's been a long summer with out hockey and I'm beginning to to go through withdrawls. From what I have read about camp, things seem to be going great minus some injuries.

Injuries:
~Andreas Lilja placed on LTIR officially. He received a concussion last season (Febuary) during a fight with Shea Weber.
~Henrik Zetterberg has a slight groin pull but has been cleared for practice.
~ Darren Helm is out 2-4 weeks with an AC sprain of the right shoulder.

I look forward to the start of the season. I can't wait to attend the home opener on October 8th. It will be my 3rd home opener. I have made it a tradition of mine to go to it every year from now on. This journal will be active during the season. Expect to see new things going on with this blog. I plan on promoting other hockey sites and having guest bloggers (and they may not neccessarily be Wings fans btw). I look forward to having a great hockey season blogging. Look for another blog update soon.

  1. That is a great tradition! I would like to have a tradition like that one, however I am geographically challenged!
