The Red Wings have teamed up with Hat Trick Productions to jumpstart the 2009-10 season with HockeyFest 2009.

The event will have numerous interactive hockey experiences, Red Wings player appearances, alumni autograph sessions, hockey memorabilia exhibits, photo opportunities with the Zamboni and Al the Octopus, a Red Wings locker room tour and a Q& A session with players and management. On Saturday there will be a Hockeytown concert featuring the band Bazooka Charlie that will start at 8 p.m.
